SafeWashing Makes Many Fabrics More Tolerable Fabrics.

Our SafeWash system removes unpleasant fabric finishes, such as Scotchguard and Teflon, and dye odors from almost any fabric of natural fibers or blends of natural and synthetics. It entails washing a 1/2 yard test patch first. Warm water wash the fabric in baking soda. The warm water wash it in vinegar. Repeat the process. Topical treatments such as soil releases and water repellants are durable, but not permanent finishes. They can be removed with repeated washing. The baking soda and vinegar neutralize unpleasant dyes smells.

Natural fabrics can shrink up to 15% depending upon the twist of the yarns and tightness of the weave. Do always test a 1/2 yard patch first to make sure you find the results visually acceptable.
